Brampton home renting out multiple rooms, people living in car on driveway
It can be rough out there for renters who don’t have endless funds at their disposal.
Heck, it’s rough even if you are making a decent wage.
So, as more people struggle to keep a roof over their head, there are those who are so desperate they’ll live just about anywhere.
Take this nightmare in Brampton, where the homeowner is believed to be renting out several rooms and is even charging for people to live in a car on the driveway, Denette Wilford reported.

We’re not sure what’s more sad — this latest horror show or the fact that people are becoming unfazed by these kinds of rentals.

WARMINGTON: Anthem singer dons pro-Palestinian attire at NHL All-Star Game
The NHL had some explaining to do after American national anthem singer Kiana Lede used the All-Star Game in Toronto last weekend to show her support for Palestinians.
The pop star, who has a history of anti-Israel rants, wore pro-Palestinian colours as she walked the red carpet and sat in a Scotiabank Arena corporate suite, Joe Warmington reported.
There has been nothing subtle about her position and who she sides with in Israel’s war with Hamas. It’s unfortunate the NHL didn’t look into her more before giving her such a huge platform at what should be a non-political sporting event.

NHLer denies cheating on ex-girlfriend Tate McRae after rumour emerges at All-Star Game
Columbus Blue Jackets centre Cole Sillinger was forced to play defence after rumours surfaced he had cheated on ex-girlfriend Tate McRae.
An Instagram post features photos of the former couple that called the NHLer out for dating out of his league, how his infidelity jumpstarted the singer’s career and that McRae — who headlined the second intermission performance at the NHL All-Star Game — was invited to the event before him, Dan Bilicki reported.
However, Sillinger fired back, “All false my guy.”
Either way, it must’ve been rough to see McRae be a big part of the All-Star weekend festivities in Toronto, where she served as a celebrity captain for Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon’s team during the draft on Thursday and the game on Saturday.

EDITORIAL: $200 billion spent on ‘climate action’ — for what?
If you recall, Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault announced last year that the Trudeau government has committed “north of $200 billion” to “more than 100 measures to support climate action.”
If you’re wondering how that’s going, you’re going to have to get in line because no concrete answer has been given, according to a recent editorial.
When Conservative MP Dan Mazier inquired about the federal carbon tax, Guilbeault responded with one of his non-answer answers: “The government does not measure the annual amount of emissions that are directly reduced by federal carbon pricing.”
So, no one knows how the government’s more than 100 other measures “to support climate action” are doing. That’s a lot not to know when the government is spending $200 billion of our money on it.

Justin Bieber’s NHL All-Star look has internet in hysterics: ‘Dressed like a Super Mario Mushroom’
Lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan Justin Bieber got to live out a childhood dream when he took to the ice as a celebrity captain at the NHL All-Star Game.
But it was a nightmare for everyone there with eyeballs when he showed up in a furry, oversized red-and-pink polka dot coat that resembled something out of the Sesame Street line.
Others likened him to a Super Mario mushroom, Mark Daniell reported, and that wasn’t wrong either.
But all the fashion backlash couldn’t overshadow the fact that for a brief moment he got to live out his childhood dream when he hit the ice with the NHL’s biggest stars for their pre-game skate, many of whom happily posed for pictures with the superstar.
Hey, at least he was warm.
