Magic mushrooms and LSD can boost sexual arousal and performance, according to a new study.

Researchers from Imperial College London said it’s the first scientific study to explore the effects of psychedelics on sexual functioning.
“Our findings suggest potential implications for conditions that negatively affect sexual health, including clinical depression and anxiety,” said Tommaso Barba, first author of the study.
The study found that people report improvements in sexual function for several weeks after a “trip.”
Nearly 300 people were asked by researchers to fill in questionnaires before and after a psychedelic experience.

They focused on two groups – people who took psychedelics for recreational or wellness reasons, and a small group from a clinical trial assessing psilocybin, the compound found in magic mushrooms.
On average, people reported improvements in several areas of sexual function up to six months after their psychedelic experience, analysis revealed.
This included their enjoyment of sex, sexual arousal, satisfaction with sex, attraction to partner, their own physical appearance, communication and their sense of connection.
