Man seriously injured in stabbing in Sydney’s southwest

A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Sydney’s southwest overnight.

Emergency services were called to an address on Woodroffe St, Minto just before 11pm Tuesday to find a man with multiple stab wounds lying in the front yard of a unit complex.

The 40-year-old was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.

It is understood the man suffered multiple stab wounds to his arms, legs and abdomen.

Police have cordoned off the Ron Moore Community Centre and part of a nearby apartment building as they investigate.

7NEWS understands the attack likely took place in a park near the community centre before the man walked to the units across the road for help, where a nurse treated his wounds before paramedics arrived.

No arrests have been made.
