Veronica Koval, who was caught speeding and claimed she was late for work, says she was shocked by all the attention her mugshot received after it went viral online last month.

The blond bombshell was charged with reckless driving last May after she was pulled over for going 99 mph (159 km/h) in a 55 mph (88 km/h) zone.

“I definitely made a mistake,” she told the New York Post. “I don’t condone it, [and] I will never speed again.”

Koval pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, with eight days suspended, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail. She spent a night in jail.

“I’m very respectful of the authorities, I wasn’t going to argue with it,” she said. “I just kind of kept quiet, did my thing.”

In early December, her mugshot was shared to the Mugshawtys Instagram account — “shawty” being slang for a young and attractive woman — where it has received more than 1,200 comments and nearly 14,000 likes.

As for why she was stopped by the cops, Koval gave this explanation: “I had to get my Starbucks and get to work, people.”

While some commenters insulted her looks, others praised the leadfoot looker, whose striking features are similar to Cindy Crawford.

“Call Elite Models, they need to send a driver to pickup their girl,” one wrote. “Set her free, she was late for a shoot.”

“She’s legit model material,” another shared in support. “People saying otherwise are clowning.”

Her Instagram account has nearly 9,500 followers.

In recent posts, Koval is seen posing for a photographer and modelling jeans.

The speedy seductress says she is really just “a very average person” and is taking her newfound attention in stride.

“I just try and turn everything into a positive,” Koval said. “That’s always been my personality.”
