Brampton foursome charged after loaded weapon seized in Vaughan

Three men and a woman face firearms charges after a loaded gun was seized in a restaurant parking lot in Vaughan.

York Regional Police responded last Sunday at about 2 a.m. to a fight involving five to 10 people outside a restaurant in the Windflower Gate-Nova Star Dr. area, near Hwy. 7 and Weston Rd.

When officers arrived, most of the combatants had already departed the area in vehicles. However, police learned that three males and one female inside a white BMW had a weapon.

Officers stopped the vehicle and located a loaded firearm.

Hasanpreet Singh, 26, Amit Kapoor, 37, Prince Singh, 22, and Harpreet Kaur, 35 — all from Brampton — were charged with possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, and other offences. Kaur was additionally charged with obstructing a peace officer.
