Brian Austin Green is hailing Ian Ziering as a “f***ing beast” after his Beverly Hills 90210 co-star fought off several bikers on New Year’s Eve.

“My boy Ian Ziering got into a fistfight on Hollywood Boulevard with like five dudes, and f***ing like beat them … did it, did his thing,” Green, 50, said in a video posted to his Instagram Story. “He’s a monster. He’s f***ing incredibly fit.”

Green said he wasn’t condoning violence or suggesting that people throw hands with strangers to settle their differences, but praised Ziering for standing his ground.

“I would not suggest, to anyone, to fight people, especially not now in this climate,” he said. “But, you know what? All turned out well. Z, I love you, brother, you’re a beast, good on you.”

In video obtained by TMZ, Ziering was seen being viciously assaulted on Sunday by at least four helmeted assailants with the fracas beginning after one of them “aggressively” approached the actor’s car near the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

According to the outlet, Ziering, 59, was “wailing” on one of the bikers before their friends piled on and began to “whoop on him mercilessly.” As they exchanged punches and kicks, one attacker was seen using their helmet as a weapon as they chased the Sharknado star across the busy Hollywood Blvd. while onlookers stood on in disbelief and his terrified daughter remained inside the car.

The father of two spoke out on the daylight attack in an Instagram post set to Coldplay’s A Sky Full of Stars, telling followers that the altercation began after he tried to “assess” damage to his vehicle.

“Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes,” his post began. “While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation. In an attempt to assess any damage I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself.”

The actor went on to hit out at “hooliganism” in the streets of L.A. and the soft-on-crime response from police, calling their approach “insufficient.” The incident, which saw no bystander attempt to get involved, left him “deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace.”

On social media, 90210 fans praised Ziering for fighting back with one person sharing footage of the attack and writing, “The best part is Ian Ziering is almost 60 … and even 5+ of these losers couldn’t take him down.”

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA that officers responded to an altercation at Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave. on Sunday afternoon following “reports of a fight that broke out after the group of bikers were driving recklessly.” Ziering is listed as a victim in a police report.

“The mini-motorcycle riders were driving recklessly and struck the victim’s vehicle and an altercation occurred,” LAPD media spokesperson Lt. Letisia Ruiz told USA Today in a follow-up response.

A source later told DailyMail.com that Ziering is “doing OK” following the fight. But photos published by Page Six showed Ziering’s $100,000 Mercedes-Benz will need extensive repairs to its smashed windshield and cracked side-view mirror.
