AC/DC fans are remembering Colin Burgess, the original drummer of the iconic rock band who died on Saturday.
The musician died from unknown causes aged 77.

The Australian band announced the news via a statement: “Very sad to hear of the passing of Colin Burgess. He was our first drummer and a very respected musician. Happy memories, rock in peace Colin.”
Fans of the group have since reacted to the loss on social media.
“Rest in power, Colin Burgess. Your thunderous beats paved the way for generations of rockers to come. You’ll always be remembered as the heartbeat of AC/DC’s early years,” one said on Instagram.
“Rock and rest in peace brother. Thank you for all that energy,” added another.
“Him and Bon are rocking it out in the pearly gates,” a third wrote, referring to the late Bon Scott, the former lead singer of AC/DC who died in 1980.
“So sad they are the best band. Rock in peace,” a user wrote.
Burgess was a native of Australia and was among the first group of band members along with lead vocalist Dave Evans, Angus Young, Larry Van Kriedt and Malcolm Young.
He was recruited in November 1973 and played on the band’s debut single, Can I Sit Next to You, Girl? then left the following year.
He was accused by the band of being drunk on stage, and he later said someone had spiked his drink.
Burgess was followed by a succession of drummers and filled in for one for a few months in 1975.
Before AC/DC, Burgess played with the Australian rock group The Masters Apprentices, which was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame in 1998.
He later formed the hard rock band His Majesty.
