A 21-year-old man faces drug and gun charges after search warrants were executed in Oshawa and Whitby.

Durham Regional Police say officers from the Central East Division Community Response Team and the Tactical Support Unit executed one search warrant at an Oshawa property in the area of Cedar St. and Simcoe St. S. on Wednesday.

A quantity of drugs, cash, a loaded prohibited firearm, and prohibited magazines were allegedly seized.
The Central East Division Community Response Team also executed a search warrant at a Whitby storage locker, near Harbour St. and Watson St. E., where another prohibited firearm, drugs, cash, and ammunition were allegedly located and seized.

Nathaniel Reynolds, of Whitby, is charged with numerous offences, including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of other Schedule I substance, two counts of possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm, four counts of possession of a prohibited device, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
