Moneris reports ‘service degradation’ | CTV News


Major Canadian payment processing firm Moneris, responsible for widely used debit and credit machines, is experiencing “service degradation.”


“We are currently experiencing service degradation that may result in intermittent processing issues,” the company wrote online Friday afternoon. “Our team is actively investigating this matter with the utmost urgency to swiftly restore normal service levels.”


The company did not specify which services might be impacted, but apologized for “any inconvenience” the issues may cause.
