Four people have been charged after two stolen vehicles were recovered following a carjacking at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Markham.

York Region Police said a suspect went to the dealership on Tuesday to test drive a vehicle and after producing a valid driver’s licence, he went out with the victim in a Mercedes GLE SUV.

Around 5 p.m. while on the westbound lanes of Hwy. 407 at Woodbine Ave, police said the suspect began pulling over while demanding that the victim get out.
According to police, the suspect said a second suspect was in a Range Rover behind them and didn’t want to hurt the victim.
Once the vehicle was stopped, the suspect allegedly pushed the victim out of the car and both vehicles fled.
The victim was not physically injured.
Eventually, the Mercedes was tracked to an underground parking lot in the Weston Rd.-Hwy. 7 area in Vaughan along with the Range Rover.

Four suspects were taken into custody and it was learned that the Range Rover was also stolen.
Police charged Sean Letellier, 19, of Shelburne, Yassine Jenkal, 23, of Toronto, Walid Haddoudi, 31, of Montreal, and Michel Pothel, 48, of no fixed address.
