NSW Police investigating after motorcycle crash in Coramba

A man has died in a motorcycle crash on the NSW Mid North Coast.

About 1.55pm on Saturday, a motorcycle crashed into a power pole on Coramba Road in Coramba, prompting an emergency response.

Bystanders rushed to the 45-year-old rider and attempted CPR on the man.

He was then taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital by paramedics in a critical condition.

He died a short time later in hospital.

No one else is believed to have been injured.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
