Ducks’ Zegras leaves game vs. Avalanche with lower-body injury

The Anaheim Ducks announced that forward Trevor Zegras will not return to their Monday night game against the Colorado Avalanche due to a lower-body injury.

The Ducks star drew an interference call on Logan O’Connor at 17:23 of the second period and he appeared to be favouring his right leg following the play.

However, according to head coach Dallas Eakins, Zegras actually sustained the injury in the game’s first period.

Zegras, 22, has collected 59 points (22 goals, 37 assists) in 73 games this season, one shy of a second consecutive 60-point campaign.
