DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee shares some artwork of White Canary Sara Lance to mark the return of Legends of Tomorrow on The CW.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returned for Season 7, and DC Publisher/Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee celebrated with a new sketch.

Lee shared an image of Sara Lance based on the likeness of Caity Lotz, who portrays the character in Legends and other Arrowverse shows. She’s notably clad in her long red coat and top hat from the Season 7 premiere, which saw her pose as a circus ringmaster.

Lotz is an Arrowverse veteran who joined The CW’s shared superhero universe in Season 2 of Arrow. Her character was subsequently killed off in the Season 3 premiere before being resurrected so she could join the cast of Legends, and since then, she’s risen up the ranks to become captain of the Waverider.

Following the departure of Dominic Purcell in the Season 6 finale, Lotz became the sole remaining original cast member. However, she is set to be reunited with several former co-stars in the show’s 100th episode. While the central threat of the season is currently shrouded in mystery, co-showrunner Keto Shimizu teased that fans will not have to wait long to find out who the Legends are up against.

New episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow air Wednesdays on The CW.
